Markland Media is an Internet Advertising and Search Engine Marketing media company based in Victoria BC. Markland Media is a sole proprietership owned and operated by search marketing expert author Jim Hedger. Markland Media was founded in August 2006 to offer a unique style of strategic, holistic Internet and search engine marketing services.

Search Marketing expert Jim Hedger is one of the most syndicated search engine marketing writers with columns appearing at the ISEDB.com, WebProNews, Search Engine Guide, and on countless other search marketing related websites.
Jim has worked on or around the commercial Internet for over 10 years. He owned and operated one of the first cybercafés in Western Canada, The Underground Onramp. After selling his interest in the café, Jim started his career in search engine optimization at StepForth Search Marketing where he worked as Head SEO and later Lead Writer until July 2006.
Jim spends a lot of time traveling to speaking events, search conferences and visiting clients. He is primarily working with WebmasterRadio.FM. Jim co-hosts an hour long news and interview Webcology on WebmasterRadio each Thursday at 2PM (eastern).
